The UK 49ers are not an NFL team to root for. I don’t know why, maybe because they play in the smallest stadium of them all, the disappointingly named RFK Stadium. Maybe because they wear white and black, and blue, and none of these colors scream NFL.
US 49ers Fan Discusses Passion
Maybe it’s all to do with the fact that their last two Super Bowl appearances were in the cold climate of New Orleans. Or maybe it’s because their fan base is mostly NFL fans from the Deep South, and they never seem to go far from home.
However, despite all this, the UK 49ers fan base is big and hearty. As a group, they give their love and support to this team alone. Many have given up their jobs or have been let go by their employers in the name of “voluntary retirement.” Some fans really have had enough and have taken to the streets in protest.
Some of the fans you see are there for the team, and some of them are there to vent uk49s teatime results. There are even a few sections of fans who follow the team around the country, wearing jerseys and anything else they can get their hands on. The one thing they have in common, however, is their loyalty. This isn’t some all-right, neo-nazi group; these are die-hard fans.
One of the things that struck me as a little strange when I was watching the NFL Sunday Ticket the other day, was the fact that there were several fans whooped and cheered during the national anthem. I mean, really? How is this done? I mean, come on.
Well, one fan told me that it was part of the team’s tradition and one I suppose it is. I also asked why they did it, and he explained that it just showed pride in the team and a statement to anyone who might be watching that the team was united. One fan told me he thought the players should get a bonus for how well they did against the Dolphins the other day. He was obviously proud of his team and there was no mistaking it.
What do you think about the US 49ers fan culture? I mean, it’s easy to be critical when you are a die-hard fan yourself, but you need to remember that this is all in the name of the game. We love the athletes and the team, but we support them wholeheartedly.
If you are a US 49ers fan, then don’t be so quick to judge the team or the players, because that only helps to build our character. So, enjoy the NFL this year, and go root for the San Francisco Giants next Sunday.
